We know choosing childcare comes with a lot of questions. Below are some of the most common things families think about as they explore a program.

Community + Families

Do you have families from WHOI?

Yes, we have worked with many families from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and understand the unique schedules and demands that can come with research-based work. We are conveniently located near Woods Hole (roughly six miles away and a 15 minute drive).

Do you work with military families from Joint Base Cape Cod?

Yes, we proudly welcome families stationed at Joint Base Cape Cod and understand the importance of reliable, flexible care.

Do you have a diverse or multicultural community?

Yes, we are proud to have a diverse and multicultural community. We believe it is important for children to learn and grow in an environment where they see themselves reflected and are also exposed to people, cultures, and perspectives that may be different from their own. Creating a space where every child feels a sense of belonging is at the heart of what we do.

Do you support families who speak Portuguese?

Yes, we are proud to serve a diverse community, including many Brazilian families. We understand that language can be an important part of feeling comfortable and confident, and we are happy to take extra time to communicate clearly and answer any questions. When needed, we can also help find ways to support translation so families feel fully informed throughout the process.

Tuition + Childcare Assistance

Do you accept Child Care Aware or MCCYN?

Yes, we accept assistance through Child Care Aware of America, including the Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) program. We are also happy to work with families using other military childcare vouchers and assistance programs.

Do you offer military discounts?

Yes, we offer a discount for military families as part of our commitment to making high-quality childcare accessible.

Do you accept tribal childcare vouchers?

Yes, we are happy to work with families using tribal childcare assistance programs. If you receive childcare support through a tribal program, we encourage you to reach out so we can walk through the process together.

Do you accept PACE childcare vouchers?

Yes, we accept childcare vouchers through People Acting in Community Endeavors (PACE) and are happy to help families navigate their benefits.

Do you accept Child Care Network vouchers?

Yes, we work with families using vouchers from Child Care Network and other state-supported childcare assistance programs.

What types of childcare vouchers do you accept?

We accept a wide range of childcare assistance programs, including Child Care Aware (MCCYN), PACE, Child Care Network, tribal childcare programs, and other state-supported vouchers. If you’re unsure whether your program applies, please reach out—we’re always happy to help.

Scheduling + Program Options

Do you offer school-year schedules or summer off for families?

Yes, we understand that some families—such as teachers and school staff—may not need childcare during the summer months. When possible, we offer flexible scheduling options and can work with families to create a school-year schedule that fits their needs.

Do you accept half-day students?
Yes, we do! We currently support a handful of children who receive services through Falmouth Public Schools and are transported (via the school bus or van) to and/or from our program. We’re happy to work with families to coordinate schedules that meet their child’s needs.

Do you offer daycare, nursery school, childcare or preschool?

Families often use terms like daycare, nursery school, and childcare interchangeably when searching for a program that provides both care and early education. While these terms are all widely used, their meanings have evolved over time—and they can sometimes create confusion.

For example, when someone asks about daycare, they are typically looking for hours that support working families. When they ask about a nursery school, they may be looking for a developmentally appropriate environment for a young child. A childcare center is often understood as a program that serves multiple age groups, and preschool typically refers to a more curriculum-based experience. Finally, a preschool is often thought of as being more curriculum-focused, with an emphasis on kindergarten readiness.

In reality, many high-quality programs—like ours—thoughtfully bring all of these elements together.

We are a licensed childcare and early education program offering flexible scheduling for both working and non-working families. We serve infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and provide a play-based, nature-focused curriculum that supports each stage of development while still building a strong foundation for future learning to readily prepare children for life long success in all their academic ventures.

Do you offer babysitting?
We don’t offer traditional babysitting, but we do provide flexible scheduling options to support families with changing needs. Our program offers dependable care in a structured, early education setting.

Do you offer nanny services?
We don’t provide in-home nanny services, but many families choose our program as a reliable alternative to a nanny. We offer flexible scheduling and consistent care in a structured, early education setting.

Are you a Montessori Program, Reggio Emilia Program, or Waldorf Program?

We are not a Montessori, Reggio Emilia or Waldorf program. However, we incorporate thoughtful elements from all approaches, along with our own philosophy, to create a balanced, play-based learning environment. Our focus is on helping children build confidence, curiosity, and the skills they need for future learning success.

Health + Safety

Do you require vaccinations?

We follow all Massachusetts childcare licensing requirements regarding immunizations. Vaccinations are required for enrollment; however, we understand that there are valid medical and religious exemptions and will guide families through the appropriate documentation process.

What are your health and cleanliness practices?

Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment is a top priority. Classrooms, toys, and high-touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day, and we follow clear health policies to help minimize the spread of illness.

Are your teachers CPR and First Aid certified?

Yes, all of our teachers maintain up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications. Ongoing training and professional development are an important part of our commitment to providing safe, high-quality care.

Still have questions?

If you don’t see your question here, we’re always happy to connect and help guide you through the process.
